We offer a variety of teaching aides and techniques geared toward making better golfers. The staff at Sand Creek Station provides students with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in which to learn the game of golf. We offer instruction in every facet of the game: from the driver, middle irons, short game and even course management. At Sand Creek Station, we hope to provide the student with the opportunity to develop confidence in their abilities so that the game of golf is more enjoyable.”

Josh Akers - Head Golf Professional - Bio
Josh has been a cornerstone of Sand Creek Station Golf Course since 2014, beginning his journey as a member of our cart staff. His dedication and passion for golf quickly became evident, and he has since ascended to the role of Head Golf Professional, where he continues to elevate the experience for our golfers.
Josh’s extensive background in the sport spans beyond Sand Creek Station. He has gained valuable operational experience working as an assistant golf professional at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston Texas, further refining his skills and knowledge of the game. Additionally, his tenure at Top Golf in Houston, where he provided private lessons, underscores his commitment to helping players of all levels improve their game.
A proud K-State alum, Josh’s education and hands-on experience have equipped him with a deep understanding of golf that he brings to his role every day. His expertise and personable approach make him an invaluable asset to our team and a trusted guide for our golfing community.
As Head Golf Professional, Josh is dedicated to ensuring that every round of golf at Sand Creek Station is exceptional. His passion for the game and commitment to excellence help create a welcoming and inspiring environment for all who visit.
